Having read the intro on “Adaptive Coverage” and how it also uses the data networks to “patch” dropped packets, I’m curious if it will cause data consumption to be higher compared to a traditional carrier network? I’d be using a Nexus 6p on your network if that matters.
You are not charged for the data used for adaptive coverage.
The direct answer to your question is yes it will. As @billg observes, this won’t affect the bottom line paid for Republic service. Republic’s blended WiFi/cell service uses small amounts of cell data for call setup and text messaging in addition to its Adaptive Coverage. Indeed, you won’t be charged for any of this use beyond what you already pay for monthly service for this use.
