Would a Republic SIM card work on this phone?

I’m trying to find out if Republic will work on Xgody m30s.

The specs say this:

4G(FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B40) LTE-FDD (B2/4/5/17/28A)

Android 9.0

No. RW does not support “international” model phones.

RW only supports certain model North American Factory Unlocked phones.

See list here. Supported phones

Hi @shawnr,

If you wouldn’t mind a bit of additional technical background, it might help you and/or others understand Republic’s service isn’t vanilla cellular and, therefore, there’s more to compatibility with Republic than the hardware specs of a particular phone.

Republic’s Android service blends the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network of its former corporate parent Bandwidth.com with one of two cellular network partners. One cellular network partner operates a GSM network and is T-Mobile. Republic’s other cellular network partner operates a CDMA network and is Sprint. This blending of networks (one VoIP, one cellular) is managed by the required Republic app. Republic’s SIM doesn’t do the job by itself.

Republic has certified its app and blended service works as expected on specific compatible phones. No other phone (even those that might meet the hardware requirements for compatibility with one or both of Republic’s cellular network partners) will work with Republic.
