Would like to see Manual Bill Payment and Prepayment Option in Billing. Sometimes I would like to prepay on a different credit card without changing recurring credit card information. Almost all companies have this option to collect customer monies. One of the sound rules of business is to collect customer money in any way they would like to pay you!

I, as the manager of Republic Wireless’ Billing & Collections group, felt the need to reply to this discussion to let you know that your suggestion has not gone unheard. While I cannot promise that prepayment or manual payment options will be offered in the short-term future, I can say that we have received similar requests in the past. As you said, we are always looking for opportunities that allow us to collect money in any manner that a member wishes to pay. Such a mindset creates an environment in which your experience, as a member, is better and our collection process is more efficient.

Like I mentioned previously, this is no promise that prepayment or manual payment options will be offered in the short-term future, but it is a personal promise from me that your voice has been heard, that I will begin some preliminary research, and that I will always advocate for better processes on behalf of our members.

Just to give you a different perspective sir, my current card is having some issues so I want to use a different card to make a payment but not change to the different card. You guys do make it inconvenient for us with your single minded business process. Not to mention that you are forcing me to stay with my old phone because you won’t offer my current plan on a new one. It almost seems like you are wanting to lose some of us for a reason I don’t understand. With all the new competition coming out, perhaps you should speak up a bit more loudly.

As a prepaid provider Republic could have changed you plan to the new plans but decided to allow the legacy plans to continue on the legacy phones. I will agree 1.0 plans where great value for the modulate data user and 2.0 refund could not be beat for low data users, I still find the my choice [4.0] plans to be fair and a good compromise.

I appreciate this is a workaround, however, there’s nothing stopping you from editing the card, allowing it to be charged, then changing the card back. I agree not ideal but will get the job done.
